Robert Wang, Ph.D.
Robert Wang, Ph.D. is a member of the IEDSE Board of Directors. He holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Engineering and a Ph.D. in Biology. Dr. Wang has served as a postdoctoral fellow with the National Science Foundation (NSF). He has also been a faculty member at Antioch University-Seattle, Mesa State College, Colorado Mountain College, and various Tribal Colleges. His primary areas of interest include: Science Education, Environmental Education and Native American Studies.
During the early 1990's, Dr. Wang worked in Washington D.C. as an environmental engineer, where he conducted environmental assessments for NASA, the Department of Energy, and military installations throughout the world. He is currently serving as a science faculty member at CMC Spring Valley and co-directing a national consortium for Native Science Education.
Dr. Wang is also the Principal Investigator on several NSF projects that focus on the development of culturally relevant science and math education curriculum for Native American and Alaskan Native communities. He is an associate professor of science at Colorado Mountain College's Rifle campus
