IEDSE provides professional development training programs, conferences, symposiums, information, and similar resources for educators to support the advancement of distance science education.
The Institute is in the process of developing, recruiting,
expanding, and training our Board of Directors. Following
our March 24, 2012 Kick-off Meeting in Denver, we will
expand the board from three members to between 7 and 10
members and train our board in non-profit best practices.
Our goal is to achieve the highest standards of ethics and
accountability in nonprofit governance, management, and

Board members oversee activities and operations to assure
that the foundation follows its stated mission and operates
appropriately for public interests.
